Who Owns EDC? Insomniac Events

EDC Las Vegas is owned byInsomniac Events, one of the most prominent event organizers in the world of electronic music. Founded by Pasquale Rotella, Insomniac is behind some of the most famous electronic music festivals, including EDC, Nocturnal Wonderland, and Beyond Wonderland. So, you know you’re in good hands when it comes to planning and producing mind-blowing events.

What Kind of Music Do They Play at EDC?

At EDC Las Vegas, the music is as diverse as the crowd! From house to techno, dubstep to trance, and everything in between, the best, and biggest, US music festival features every subgenre of electronic dance music (EDM). You’ll find sets by world-renowned DJs like Martin Garrix, Alesso, Zedd, Tiesto, and countless up-and-coming talents.

Whether you’re into heavy bass drops or smooth house beats, there’s a stage for every type of raver. The best part? The immersive lighting and visuals perfectly match the vibe of each genre, making it a multi-sensory journey.

Is EDC Las Vegas Worth the Ticket Price

If you’ve been asking yourself if EDC Las Vegas is worth the ticket price, the short answer is: 100% YES. EDC isn’t just a music festival; it’s a fully immersive experience where every corner is buzzing with energy, creativity, and awe. With its insane production value, top-tier DJs, and legendary crowd, EDC LV offers an unforgettable experience. If you’re a fan of EDM, rave culture, or just looking to get lost in a neon dream, EDC Vegas should be at the top of your music festival bucket list next to Tomorrowland.

Is Camp EDC Worth It?

One of the biggest draws of the festival is EDC Las Vegas camping. Unlike some music festivals where attendees stay in hotels or commute long distances, Camp EDC offers a unique, all-in-one experience that keeps you fully immersed in the festival’s energy 24/7.

By staying at the EDC campground, you get exclusive access to some of the best parts of the EDM festival, including early entry, pool parties, wellness activities, and the legendary Camp EDC pre-party featuring surprise DJ sets. With no need to deal with shuttles, Ubers, or long travel times, Camp EDC makes getting to and from the festival effortless—your accommodations are just steps away from the action. Whether you’re looking to maximize your time at EDC, meet like-minded ravers, or just experience something beyond the typical hotel stay, Camp EDC delivers an unforgettable experience.

While we would love to provide you with an in-depth Camp EDC Las Vegas guide, like what to pack, the bathroom situation, the parties, and more, our festival vets haven’t personally done it yet. But they will in 2025, and you can be sure that they’ll write a handy guide based of their experience so you can find all the important Camp EDC info you need. If you see the House of Rave totem, that’s us! Be sure to swing by, say hi, and trade a Kandi. Our team would love to meet you and your festival crew and hear what kidn of content or products you’d like to see from us. As a new brand by and for ravers, we want to be community centric in everything we do 🙂

EDC LV Pre-Party and After Parties

Let’s talk about the legendary Camp EDC parties. It’s an exclusive camping experience that gives you a place to crash after a long night of dancing and partying. If you’re ready to fully immerse yourself in the EDC LV vibe, Camp EDC is an awesome way to get into the groove from start to finish.

The pre-parties at Camp EDC are legendary, where the vibe begins even before you head to the main festival. After the event wraps up, you can party with fellow ravers in the after-parties, which are often held in the campgrounds—because why stop the fun when the festival ends? If you want the full festival experience with a side of community and camping vibes, Camp EDC is totally worth it.

Should You Get a Hotel at EDC LV?

If camping isn’t your thing, booking a hotel for EDC Las Vegas is the next best option. Staying in a hotel gives you a comfortable place to rest and recharge between festival days while still letting you enjoy all the excitement of Las Vegas. With so many hotels on and off the Strip, you can choose an experience that fits your budget and style—whether it’s a luxury resort with pool parties and casinos or a budget-friendly option that keeps costs down.

While some festival-goers prefer the convenience of Camp EDC, many opt for hotels to enjoy proper showers, air conditioning, and easy access to afterparties at Vegas nightclubs. However, choosing the right hotel and planning transportation is key to making your trip as smooth as possible.

How Far is EDC From Las Vegas

When you think of EDC Las Vegas, you might imagine it being right in the middle of the Strip. However, the festival actually takes place at The Las Vegas Motor Speedway, which is located about 15 miles north of the Las Vegas Strip. So, while it’s not right on the Strip, it’s still close enough that an uber or shuttle ride will get you there, but be prepared for an hour long ride, or more.

With this in mind, should you get a hotel on the Strip or nearby? Well, it depends on your vibe and budget. If you want to be close to all the pre and post-festival activities (besides the ones at Camp EDC), the Strip is a great option. However, you can also opt for hotels closer to the festival grounds, which could save you some travel time after those late-night sets.

Hotel EDC: The Official EDC Hotel Partner

For the ultimate EDC hotel experience, Insomniac offers an official hotel partnership called Hotel EDC. This exclusive package allows attendees to stay at a designated partner hotel with EDC-themed perks that enhance the festival experience.

By booking Hotel EDC, you receive:

  • Exclusive EDC merchandise available only to hotel package guests.
  • A festival-friendly atmosphere with fellow ravers staying at the same location.
  • Easy access to the official EDC shuttle service, reducing the stress of transportation (but you’ll still need to sign up for the EDC Vegas shuttle).

Since traffic and logistics can be a challenge during EDC weekend, staying at Hotel EDC ensures that you have a hassle-free experience while still enjoying everything the festival has to offer. Whether you want to relax in comfort or keep the party going with like-minded festival-goers, Hotel EDC is an excellent option to consider.

EDC Las Vegas Shuttles Info Guide

Shuttle info is crucial to any EDC Las vegas guide. If you are not paying extra to do Camp EDC, then you unfortunately have to get transport to the festival. If you don’t rent a car, then a rideshare or festival shuttle is your only real options. Unless your wealthy(lucky), we suggest the latter.

1. Official EDC Shuttles

Forget the stress of driving and parking! EDC Las Vegas offers official shuttle services to and from the festival grounds, picking up from several locations around the Las Vegas area, including the Strip and downtown. The EDC shuttles are comfortable(with A/C), reliable, and get you straight to the action—no hassle.

2. Private EDC Shuttles

Missed the signup for the official EDC shuttles? There are also private shuttle options available for traveling to EDC. However, these are not much cheaper and are much less desirable than the EDC shuttle in our option.

The shuttle service our vets used advertised a small private shuttle with an open bar. What they got was a shuttle van with 3 bottles of random liquor and barely any chasers. Oh, and the vans had no A/C … in the literal desert. Coming back using the private shuttle services is also complicated and stressful, and the rising desert sun in an hour-long shuttle trio with no A/C is far from the ideal EDC come down. The disorganization and overall sketchy feel of the shuttle services leads us to highly recommend the official EDC shuttle services.

How to Communicate at EDC

We wouldn’t have a comprehensive EDC Las Vegas guide without talking about communication. EDC LV is a massive festival venue that makes it difficult to find or reconnect with your festival group. For this reason, you’ll want to have a plan for communicating at EDC.

Time Stamping / Texting

When you’re at EDC Las Vegas, you’ll want to make sure you stay in touch with your crew in case you get separated. The festival grounds are huge, and there are a ton of people, so staying connected is key.

One of the best ways to communicate is through time-stamping your messages. For example, if you’re meeting up at a specific time or spot, text your group with a timestamp like:

Waiting at the Marry Me at EDC sign, then heading to the right side near the entrance of the Wastelands stage. Sent:10:30 PM.

Texting is still a semi-solid way to reach out, but don’t expect calls to work due to heavy crowds and potential signal issues.

How Big is EDC Las Vegas?

EDC Las Vegas is MASSIVE. The festival spans over 10 stages, thousands of art installations, food vendors, and multiple areas dedicated to immersive experiences. It covers hundreds of acres at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, and trust me—getting from one side to the other can be a workout. But, it’s all part of the fun!

How Many People Attend EDC Las Vegas Each Year?

With over 525,000 attendees in 2024, EDC LV is one of the largest music festivals in the world, making it a bucket-list event for any EDM lover. That means the daily attendance for EDC Las Vegas was around 170,000 people in 2024.

Is EDC LV GA or GA+ Better?

Ah, the age-old question: General Admission (GA) or GA+? Both offer access to the magical EDC world, but there are differences worth noting. Below, our EDC Las Vegas guide breaks it down:

General Admission (GA) is your standard ticket. You get access to all the stages, food vendors, art installations, and the electric atmosphere of EDC. However, expect long lines for everything—bathrooms, food, and the ever-important water stations. But hey, it’s part of the experience, right?

GA+, on the other hand, offers upgrades like expedited, dedicated entry and better access to bathrooms and some merch credits. If you’re all about comfort and avoiding those epic lines, GA+ is the move.

In our opinion, GA+ does not offer enough upgrades to justify the cost increase. Unless of course having a restroom trailer is important to you, which we totally understand that some rave outfits are not porta potty friendly. And if you’re a girl, porta potties are not ideal to begin with. The entry rarely has long lines so the GA+ line was overkill. Ultimately, the bathroom trailers are the key difference between GA tickets and GA+ tickets at EDC LV.

Otherwise, if bathrooms aren’t important and you’re okay with the chaos (and let’s be real, it’s all part of the fun), then GA will do the trick. Your call!

How to Dress for EDC Las Vegas - EDC Las Vegas Guide to Outfits

Let’s talk EDC festival outfit fashion. EDC LV is as much about self-expression as it is about the music. Whether you’re channeling your inner raver or going for something bolder, you need to dress for comfort and style.

  • Comfort is Key: We’re talking long days (and nights) on your feet. So comfy shoes are a must. Trust me, those cute heels aren’t going to do you any favors when you’re trekking miles across the festival grounds dehydrated and surviving on a single chicken nug.
  • Weather-Ready: The Vegas heat is no joke, so light and breathable clothing is your friend. However, keep in mind the desert can get cold. If you’re planning to rave until the AM, temperatures may drop, so pack layers (or a trusty pash) for the chilly desert nights. Some years EDC LV is just cold in general so make sure you do your research. Rarely does it rain but still, check the forecast to plan your EDC LV festival outfits.
  • LED Gear and Accessories: It’s EDC, honey! This is your time to shine. Wear all that LED gear—LED hats, armbands, harnesses and anything that glows. Heck, why not try out that LED buttplug? JK, unless …. With LED gear you’ll fit right in with the crowd and stand out when the lights dim. It might even make it easier for your friends to find you!

Is EDC LV Hot?

You bet. Usually EDC LV is very warm, if not straight up hot. EDC Las Vegas takes place in the middle of the Mojave desert, so very rarely is it cold. If you’re attending, you need to be ready for the heat. Temperatures during the day can soar well over 100°F (38°C). Stay hydrated, wear sunscreen, and make sure you’re rocking the lightest, breeziest clothes possible. But remember, the desert nights can cool down significantly, so keep that in mind when planning your EDC LV outfits.

Is There Phone Theft at EDC LV?

Unfortunately, yes, phone thieves are very common at EDC Las Vegas. Phone theft can happen at any large event, and EDC Las Vegas is no exception. Keep your phone secure at all times. Invest in a phone tether and consider a festival bag that helps prevent phone theft. A thigh bag or chest bag that you can wear securely on your body helps prevent theft, and let’s you go hands-free.

From experience, we created our House of Rave thigh bags and chest bags to help secure your devices. The double eyelet zippers allow you to clip them together to give you another level of security. Phone thieves look for easy opportunities and making it involved and difficult deters them.

Also, you should be using a lock screen and enabling tracking software (like Find My iPhone or Find My Device) to keep your phone safe. And for the love of edm, don’t make a rave baby mistake and leave your phone unattended in a reachable pocket or unzipped bag!

How Many Stages Does EDC LV Have? EDC Las Vegas Stage Guide

Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas features a diverse array of stages, including 9 unique stages. Each offers unique production and experiences:

EDC Las Vegas Tips: How to Maximize Your Experience

Let’s talk EDC Las Vegas tips, because after all, you’re here to make your experience unforgettable. These EDC Las Vegas guide pro tips will keep you safe, comfortable, and totally on top of your game.

Wear Kandi – It’s Not Just Jewelry, It’s a Culture

If you don’t know about kandi, you’ll get familiar fast. The art of exchanging colorful beaded bracelets has been a rave tradition for years, and it’s a rite of passage for any true raver. Not only are they fun to make, but they’re also a great way to meet people. Just make sure you’re ready to trade and vibe with your fellow ravers!

Check Out the Smaller Stages

Everyone flocks to the main EDC stages for the headliners, but trust us—some of the best sets (and moments) happen at the smaller, hidden stages. Take the time to explore beyond the main event. You’ll find some seriously underrated talent and more intimate vibes that will elevate your EDC experience.

Use a Totem or Wear LED Gear

You’ve probably seen them: the giant totems, those funky, hilarious creations that make it easy to spot your crew in a sea of thousands. They’re fun, they’re practical, and they add some much-needed personality to the festival.

Just make sure they follow EDC Totem guidelines. Wear LED gear, too—whether it’s on your clothes, accessories, or the iconic LED bucket hats. Not only do they look amazing in the dark, but they’ll also help you stay visible (and easy to find).

Use Lockers for Your Extra Things

Trust me—you don’t want to be schlepping around extra bags or your water bottle all night in the desert heat. Rent a locker at EDC! It’s a small price to pay for the peace of mind that you don’t have to carry everything with you. Plus, lockers are a safe place to stash your valuables while you get to explore the festival and dance the night away.

Explore the Art and Downtown EDC

Did you know that EDC LV is more than just music? The festival is a full-on sensory experience, featuring breathtaking art installations, immersive environments, and even a Downtown EDC with interactive experiences, including Get Married at EDC. Take some time to wander and soak it all in—you’ll leave with memories that go beyond just the music.

EDC Las Vegas Festival Policies

EDC Totem Guidelines

Totems are a great way to express creativity and help your group find each other in the massive crowd at EDC Las Vegas. However, they must adhere to specific guidelines to ensure safety and a positive experience for all attendees.

Allowed EDC Totems

✔ Must be made of lightweight materials such as foam, pool noodles, or cardboard.
✔ Maximum height of 10 feet to avoid obstructing views.
✔ Flags, banners, or signs attached to flexible poles are permitted.
✔ LED decorations, fabric, and creative elements are encouraged.

Prohibited Totem Materials & Designs

✖ Hard metal, wood, or PVC pipes that could be dangerous in a crowd.
✖ Sharp or pointy objects that could harm others.
✖ Corporate-branded or promotional totems.
✖ Any offensive, hateful, or inappropriate content.
✖ Totems with heavy or hard bases that could be used as weapons.

Following these totem guidelines ensures a fun and safe festival environment for everyone. Get creative, but always keep safety in mind!

What Items are Allowed at EDC Las Vegas?

To enhance the festival experience, EDC Las Vegas certain items are permitted within the grounds. Here’s a list of acceptable items sourced from EDC Las Vegas’s official website:

we love a good tik tok from @gageyayaya

Deodorant: Essential for those long nights of dancing—for your sake, and everyone around you, just keep it in your House of Rave crossbody bag!

Vapes/E-cigarettes: Bring your preferred vape, but ask yourself, did you really beat the cigarette addiction just to get the fruity smoke version in its place?

Totems & Pool Noodles: Fun and creative festival totems or decorated pool noodles are allowed (make sure you follow totem guidelines).

Flags & Banners: Small flags and banners are welcome, but no corporate logos or large, hard poles allowed. Please keep in mind overall large flags excessively block the view of those behind you and are considered a bit rude. They also will likely fall on others during the periods of no breeze, no one wants a giant flag constantly falling on them or blocking the view during a festival they likely paid $1000 or more for.

LED Festival Gear: LED hoops, poi, or illuminated jewelry? Yes, please! Glowsticks, LED rave gear, and costumes that light up are totally festival-approved.

Hydration Packs: Both clear and non-clear hydration packs are allowed, as long as they have no more than two main compartments and one smaller pocket. (Just make sure it’s empty when you enter!)

Non-Professional Cameras: Handheld video devices under 6 inches (like a GoPro or Sony Action Cam) and small non-professional cameras are fair game, including extendable GoPro poles.

Misting Fans: A personal misting fan is okay, as long as the bottle is no larger than 1.5L and is empty upon entry.

Medication: If you need prescription medication, just make sure it’s not expired and you have your prescription with you. Check in with a safety officer when you arrive.

Reusable Water Bottles: Bring your reusable water bottle, but remember to empty it before entering the venue. We’d opt for a hydration backpack instead.

Intranasal Naloxone(Narcan): Sealed Naloxone for emergency use is allowed. Narcan can save a life, in the case of a rave party drug overdose. We alwyas carry one.

Clear Bags: You can bring clear festival bags, but they shouldn’t exceed 12”x6”x12”.

Small Clutch Bags: Small non-clear clutch bags (with or without straps) are allowed as long as they measure no more than 6″ x 9″ (15cm x 23cm).

For a comprehensive list and specific details, refer to the official EDC Las Vegas Guide.

All Your EDC LV FAQs Answered by Our EDC Las Vegas Guide

Have more questions about EDC Las Vegas? Our EDC LV veterans answer some of the most common (and hopefully helpful) FAQs below. Have more questions or want to contribute? Give us a shout

What is the best time to arrive at EDC Las Vegas?

The best time to arrive at EDC Las Vegas is early, seriously, get there when the gates open at sunset. The festival is all night but there is so much to explore and see. Go early, get pics, explore, and get the most out of your EDC LV experience. Arriving well before the headliners’ performances also helps to avoid long wait times at entry points.

Can I bring my own food or drinks to EDC Las Vegas?

No, bringing outside food or drinks is not allowed at EDC Las Vegas. There are plenty of food and drink vendors offering a wide variety of options inside the venue. But we get it, paying $20 for some half burnt allegedly chicken nugs seems like scam. So you definitely shouldn’t hide protein bars or snacks in your bags hidden pockets, or on your persons..

You can bring an empty reusable water bottle or hydration backpack, which can be filled at the water refill stations available throughout the festival grounds.

Is there an age restriction for attending EDC Las Vegas?

Yes, EDC Las Vegas is an 18+ event. You must be 18 years or older to attend, and all attendees will be required to present a valid ID upon entry. What is considered a valid ID for entry to EDC LV?
